Golf Keepers ("we", "our", "the app") is a golf scoring and GPS rangefinder app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (if you choose to share them). We store a display name and email in your user profile.
• Golf round data: Scores, course selections, tee boxes, handicaps, and round settings you create or participate in.
• Location data: When you grant permission, we access your device's GPS to calculate distances to greens and hazards during a round. Location data is used in real-time on your device and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
• Device information: We do not collect device identifiers, analytics, or tracking data.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core app experience: scoring, leaderboards, GPS distances, and round management.
• To display your name to other players in shared rounds.
• To authenticate your account and keep your data secure.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) hosted in the United States. Data is protected by Firebase's security rules and is only accessible to authenticated users who are participants in the relevant rounds.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your round data (scores, names) is visible to other players who are participants in the same round. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Location Data

Location access is optional and only used while the app is in use. GPS coordinates are processed on your device to calculate distances and are not transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app (profile, rounds, scores).
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Portability: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Golf Keepers is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
